1. Is this a tutoring service or an online course?
Neither — and the difference is the whole point. A tutoring service sells you hours: someone explains things for an hour, then your student is on their own until next week. A self-paced course sells you content: videos and problem sets, with no one there when it counts. Physics On Track is a class. One real instructor — me — teaching a complete program. The lessons are recorded because my best explanation of each concept doesn't change, so your student gets it at full strength, any hour, as many times as they need. 3. How do you make sure my student actually does the work?
Honestly, no program can force a teenager to work, and be careful with any that claims it. What we did is remove the two ways the work silently does not happen. The first is never starting. Twice a week there is a hosted practice room: a scheduled hour on your student's calendar where they check in with a goal, work on whatever is next for them, and check out with a photo of their written work. Starting a problem set in a room at a set time is a completely different thing from starting it alone in a bedroom. The second is half-doing. In most programs, multiple choice grades itself and gets done, while the written FRQ, the half that decides the exam score, gets skipped because nobody checks it. Here every FRQ is graded with feedback in seconds, so there is no unchecked half of the program to hide in. We cannot do the work for your student. We have made it very hard to silently not do it.
4. We already have a tutor. Why would we need this?
